All of the tracks for Shacklegrind I and Steph’s demo series are now up on iTunes! So now you can launch iTunes, go to the Music Store, type in Shacklegrind or Steph in the search window, and then pick and choose the tracks you want.

SG The Shacklegrind remix of Lupine Howl’s “The Pursuit of Pleasure” (the Shacklegrind “Smack Me Harder!” remix) is now complete. The band was delighted with Steph’s aggressive remix of the track. Speaking of which, Sean Cook (formerly of Spiritualized and Lupine Howl) is now working with a producing duo called “The Insects” but more commonly referred to as “The Flies.” Thanks to persistent pestering by Mr. Cook, Steph finally set up a MySpace page for Shacklegrind. Thanks, Sean!

Another year, another NAMM. Steph celebrates the one-year anniversary of her pro audio site, Audiohead.net with a new exclusive in-the-studio piece on Trent Reznor on the recording of Nine Inch Nails’ “With Teeth.”

“Shacklegrind I” becomes available for purchase through CD Baby and is selected as an Editor’s Picks in the Industrial Rock category.

Steph plays a secret gig in Hollywood under the pseudonym, “Inge of Uberhaut.”

February 2004
Shacklegrind packs up and relocates herself and her studio to Los Angeles.

January 2004
Shacklegrind records six new tracks in the sunroom of the Shacklegrind Compound. These tracks are acoustic and vox tracks that will be built out into songs for the coming Shacklegrind “Raw” record.

Steph is spotted all over Hall E at the Anaheim Convention Center during the NAMM Show. She subsequently launches a brand new features-based pro audio magazine called Audiohead.net at the end of January.

December 2003

Now that the “Shacklegrind I” CD is out, Steph is already on to recording new material for the next CD, “Shacklegrind Raw,” and working on a remix for Lupine Howl.

Also next on the plate for Shacklegrind will be fine tuning three remixes/versions of yet-to-be-released Richard Devine tracks, recording vox for a future Jack Dangers release, and working on some new tracks for a side project with two producers in L.A.

July 2003
Shacklegrind hit the studios of Fischerspooner and NIN seeking insights on how to siphon sonic genius and add it to her mixes.

Up and coming artist Brad Wolf (WBR - Nashville) agrees to let Shacklegrind remix a track off of his coming self-titled debut record.

Shacklegrind’s remix on the Jack Dangers track nears completion, featuring vox, guitars and miscellaneous other percussive noise manufactured in Shacklegrind studio melodically blended with the phenomenal breaks of Jack D!

June 2003
Lupine Howl offers to let Shacklegrind remix a track off of the band’s newest release, “Bar At The End Of The World.” Lupine Howl features former members of Spiritualized and Spacemen 3.

Ash’s Tim Wheeler asks Shacklegrind to remix an Ash track.

May 2003
A hot, new pix page has been added to the site, featuring stills of Shacklegrind from two different music vids in the works. Check it out.

April 2003
Due to a media drive crash in the Shacklegrind studio there will be a hold up in the mastering process for the new tracks — until certain aspects are re-recorded.

March 2003
Shacklegrind sends six new tracks out to Alien Sound in Chicago for mastering, including “chances are,” “blaspheme,” “need,” “the director,” “confusion” and “on the edge.”
